Our contract with you

When you place your order or pay a deposit with The Little Green Platter Company or via www.thelittlegreenplattercompany.com your order is recognised as an offer which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.

Acceptance of your order will either take place when you confirm your acceptance of a quote, an invoice and or when we confirm that payment has been received on the confirmation page of the website upon completion of your order and/or via subsequent email. If it is an order placed via invoice whether in full or partly the contract will come into existence between you and us.

If for whatever reason we are unable to accept your order, we will let you know and you will not be charged for your order. Reasons we might not be able to accept your order might be that we have listed the product incorrectly on the website or that we have simply run out of some of our stock.

Products descriptions and services
Some of our cheeses at thelittegreenplattercompany.com are freshly cut to order by our own hands so any weights given on the website are there for guidance. We will always do our utmost to cut to the exact weights as stated but will be unable to offer you a refund where there is a reasonable tolerance from the stated weights on our site.  Our promise to you is that we will always do our best to be as accurate as possible with your order and if we do cut one piece slightly under, we will try to make up the difference with the next in your order.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that we are selling but they are for illustrative purposes only.  Many of our cheeses, charcuterie and other products are handmade artisan products or hand prepared boards & boxes which, by their nature, vary from batch to batch. Our images and descriptions are there to give you the very best indication of what our products are like before you purchase, however you can expect there to be subtle variations from what is portrayed on this site.

Cheese is a ‘live’ product and will leave us in the best condition, our freshly cut cheeses will be carefully wrapped and delicately boxed for delivery to you. Cheese is a perishable product and will need to be cared for once you receive it.

Please also follow the storage and care instructions on the packaging of any packaged product.

Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

User accounts

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

Returns

Due to the nature of our produce, returns of perishable goods cannot be accepted. Should there be an incorrect or faulty item in your delivery we must be informed within 12 hrs of the product being received in order to offer replacements or refunds. Images of defective or incorrect items will be required.

Cancellations

Customers can cancel orders within a 2 hour ‘grace period’ after booking. Beyond this, we are unable to process cancellations.

For larger bespoke orders, if your order is cancelled three months (or more) before the date booked, we will issue a 50% refund, if payment hasn’t yet been received then 50% will still be due. Unfortunately we do not offer any refunds or void any amounts due for cancellations within three months of the event, only date changes if we are told well in advance and have the availability. If an event needs to be cancelled due to Covid-19 related issues the above still applies. Once a booking has moved, we are unable to move again and if cancelled no refund or waiver of due payment will be given.

Order Changes

Customers can amend orders within a 2 hour ‘grace period’ after booking. Beyond this, we are unable to process any order changes.

Date Holding

Due to the high number of enquiries for bespoke grazing displays, we are unable to hold dates.

Ordering and delivery
The full description of our delivery procedure is available on our website.

Please make certain that you give the correct delivery details with your order.  If you do make a mistake please contact us as soon as possible using the hello@thelittlegreenplattercompany.com email address.  Unfortunately if the order has already been dispatched we will not be able to retrieve the parcel or accept a return.

Once your order has been dispatched our courier will make contact to arrange delivery.  We always want you to receive our products in the best condition. Please remember that it may contain perishable products and therefore we would prefer that someone is available to accept the delivery so that it can be refrigerated as soon as possible. If you are not going to be in you MUST provide an alternative option for the delivery to be left. We cannot accept returns. Undelivered parcels will be returned to the depot for ‘redelivery the next day’ and we cannot guarantee how the courier will store it. This is why we only offer next day delivery and ask you to give clear instruction in the delivery comments as to where the parcel can be left in the event of you not being available to receive it.

In the event of a delay our courier should contact you to let you know. We cannot be held responsible for non-delivery due to adverse weather conditions or situations beyond our control. Any delay in dispatch and/or delivery for whatsoever reason shall not be grounds for a claim for consequential loss. You own the product once we have accepted your order and received payment in full.
