Terms of Service

Last updated: 4th June 2025

Welcome to The Little Green Platter Company. By using our website, placing an order online, over the phone, or via email, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

1.  Who We Are?

We are The Little Green Platter Company, a UK-based delicatessen and catering company specialising in artisan foods.

Website: thelittlegreenplattercompany.com

Email: hello@thelittlegreenplattercompany.com

We are a small family-run business and aim to respond to all enquiries as promptly as possible. During peak periods or weekends, responses may take a little longer—thank you for your patience.

2. Communication

We may contact you to confirm, update, or clarify your order using the contact details provided at the time of booking. This may include email, phone, or written communication.

We currently deliver within the UK only.

3.
Formation of Contract

When you place an order with us, this constitutes an offer. A contract is only formed once your payment is processed and we confirm your order via our confirmation page or email.

If we are unable to accept your order (e.g. due to stock issues, pricing errors, or other reasons), we will notify you, and you will not be charged.

4. Products & Services

  • Many of our items—especially cheeses—are cut to order by hand. Weights shown are approximate. Slight variations may occur but we will always strive to deliver fair and balanced portions.
  • Artisan and seasonal products may vary in appearance, texture, and availability. Product images are illustrative only.
  • We make every effort to ensure descriptions and pricing are accurate. However, we reserve the right to amend errors without prior notice.

5. Food Safety & Handlin

  • Perishable items must be refrigerated promptly. We recommend consuming within 1-2 days of delivery.
  • Food left unrefrigerated for more than 3-4 hours must be disposed of. By placing an order, you accept responsibility for safe storage after delivery.
  • We accept no liability for adverse reactions to food consumed after this time.

6.
Dietary Requirements & Allergens

If you or your guests have allergies or dietary requirements, please inform us at checkout.

⚠️ Important: All food is prepared in an environment that handles all 14 major allergens. We cannot guarantee any item is allergen-free and strongly advise against ordering if severe allergies are present.

7. Returns & Refunds

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns unless an item is defective or incorrect.

In such cases, please notify us within 6 hours of receipt, including photographs, so we can investigate and resolve the issue.

8. Cancellations & Changes

  • Standard Orders: Orders may be cancelled or amended within a 2-hour grace period from booking. After this, we cannot guarantee changes or offer a refund.
  • Bespoke Orders/Events:
    • Cancelled with 3+ months’ notice: 50% refund.
    • Cancelled within 3 months: no refund, though we may offer a date change (subject to availability).
    • If an event is rescheduled once, we cannot accommodate further changes or offer refunds on cancellation.
    • These policies apply even in the event of COVID-19-related disruption.

9. Date Holding

We do not hold dates for events or bespoke grazing displays without a confirmed booking and payment.

10. Substitutions & Seasonality

While we strive to match our menus exactly, occasional substitutions may be necessary due to seasonality or supplier issues. Substituted items will always be of equal or greater quality and value.

11. Ordering & Delivery

  • Delivery instructions must be accurate. If incorrect details are provided and the parcel or order cannot be delivered, we are unable to offer a refund.
  • We recommend someone be available to receive the delivery and refrigerate items immediately.
  • If you’re not in, you must specify a safe place for delivery and make sure it is refrigerated promptly. Undelivered items cannot always be returned to the deli or depot, and we cannot guarantee storage conditions thereafter.

We are not liable for delays due to adverse weather, courier issues, or factors beyond our control.

12. User Accounts & Information

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate order and account details.

You must treat any login or password information as confidential. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or services.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the order in question.

14.
Photography & Social Media

We love to showcase our work! Unless you inform us otherwise in writing before your event, we may use images taken at your event (or featuring our products) across our social media and promotional platforms.

15. Customer Feedback

We welcome your feedback and may use positive reviews or testimonials for marketing purposes (unless you ask us not to).

16. Modifications to Products or Services

Prices and product offerings are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product or service at any time.

17. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy matters. Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable UK GDPR laws.

See our Privacy Policy for more details.
